Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction Grants – Annual Reports to the Legislature

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) must submit an annual report to the California Legislature pursuant to Penal Code 6045.8 which enacted the Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction (MIOCR) Grant Program. These reports, in part, should assess the effectiveness of the program in reducing crime and recidivism rates of the target population.

 

Penal Code Section 6045.8.

(b) Commencing on October 1, 2015, and annually thereafter, the board shall submit a report to the Legislature based on the evaluation design, with a final report due on December 31, 2018.
(c) The reports submitted pursuant to this section shall be submitted in compliance with Section 9795 of the Government Code.
