In-Custody Death Requirements Adult Title 15 Rulemaking - 2024


On November 16, 2023, the Board approved proposed revisions to section 1046 of Title 15, Division 1, Chapter 1, Subchapter 4 of the California Code of Regulations, to include additional in-custody death review and reporting requirements in response to Senate Bill 519 (Chapter 306, Statutes of 2023). The Board approved proposed changes to section 1046 of Title 15, Division 1, Chapter 1, Subchapter 4 of the California Code of Regulations. Regulation changes will be adopted according to the process and requirements of the Administrative Procedures Act through the Office of Administrative Law.
