On Monday, October 14, the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) issued a formal notice of facility unsuitability for the Los Angeles County Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 209, subdivisions (a)(4) and (d) regarding noncompliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 15, Section 1321, Staffing. Commencing 60 days following the date of the notice or by December 12, 2024, the facility shall not be used for the confinement of juveniles until the Board finds, after reinspection of the facility, that the conditions have been remedied.
